Most of us wake up every morning anticipating that first cup of coffee that is going to get us through the morning, but have we considered how clean the water is in our morning cup of joe? Investing in a reverse osmosis system could increase your coffee, and espresso machines duration life, enhance the quality of taste for your beverages and ensure you are drinking a safe, clean, filtered beverage.

How does an espresso machine work?

When making espresso, hot water is pressed and quickly passes through the coffee. This process should be no longer than 20-25 seconds. During the making of espresso, water plays a significant role and should be clean and pure. Using a reverse osmosis water filter system will ensure better taste and quality of your espresso beverages. The aroma and flavor of coffee are revealed without the interference of water chemicals, and containments such as chlorine, and salts. When you use tap water to make your espresso drinks, it contains many inorganic salts that settle on the interior surface of the machine such as the boiler, inner tubes, and pumps. The accumulation of salt changes the pressure of the machine and eventually eroding its mechanism.

A gradual increase in pressure will negatively affect the extraction of espresso and result in worse taste. Also, added pressure will damage the machines internal pumps and flanges.

Investing in a reverse osmosis system will do more than just save you money, it will remove salts from water as well as harmful elements, it will protect the machine while bringing out the authentic flavors and aromas of coffee.
